Claire is my younger sister. Some of our favorite things to do together include eating Sidecar Donuts at the beach and singing loudly in the car. One thing we hate doing is moving which unfortunately Claire had to do a few weeks ago. As we packed her stuff, me attempting to fit all her socks in nooks and crannies of boxes, she sorting through her Tupperware, I thought about growing up.

Once upon a time, I was convincing her to be my pretend student/patient/dog. Now, we talk about articles from The Times or make lists of things to do in New York and sometimes she attempts to educate me on the science of sourdough bread. Life was a lot easier in the days of swing sets and sandboxes. But growing up is worth it because now have a best-friend-sister who makes me better every day.
